Being a wedding photographer, I often get asked about my love story, when couples hear that I’m a born and raised Minnesotan and my husband is from Colorado. I dated my husband before we ever met in person AND before we ever saw each other. I've heard there is a show on Netflix that is doing a social experiment on people falling in love, without ever seeing each other lol. Has anyone seen it or heard of it?
We both didn't trust random people on the internet, yet we were told to work together, by our online college coaches. Our first chat went something like this, “I'm Amy. I’m supposed to reach out to you, because you've done a lot of research on the degree I'm researching, BUT I want to let you know I don't trust guys on the internet." His response, "Hi, I don't trust you either, so no worries there.”
Our common interest would turn into conversations that we both looked forward to so much and then, turn into me taking his last name. It's been ten years, but I still get butterflies when I see Caleb’s name appear in my inbox.
I would've NEVER dreamt of meeting my husband online, but I'm thankful I'm not the one in control of the bigger picture. I thank God daily for making a way for Caleb and I to meet, even though we lived in completely different states.
